This flooded bathroom was the result of a broken pipe. Notice the extent of water damage. The water was deep enough that it wicked up the drywall, traveled below hardwood floors, damaged the vanity and a closet. 

Water damage restoration requires specialized equipment and training. Moisture detection sensors are required to llocate the pockets of moisture trapped in wall cavities, ceilings, flooring systems, and other locations not visible from the exterior surface.

In order to dry the structure completely we need to remove any damaged materials that cannot be dried thoroughly, find any hidden moisture as in under hardwood floors and set up air movers and dehumidifiers. The drying process usually takes 3-5 days. 

This was a complete mitigation and repair job for SERVPRO of Steuben, DeKalb and LaGrange and we are pleased with the final outcome. The home owners were happy as well.
